Stephen French received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy from Grove City College in May of 1986. He then successfully completed the CPA examination in November of 1986. Stephen practiced public accounting for two years in a large firm in Erie, Pennsylvania, prior to law school.
In June of 1991, he received his Juris Doctorate degree from The Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Stephen is licensed to practice in all courts in Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the Western and Middle districts of Pennsylvania.
With over 29 years of experience practicing general law, Stephen recently created French Law, P.C., as a boutique law firm concentrating in all aspects of family law including: divorce, custody, support, adoption, termination of parental rights, protection from abuse petitions, and equitable distribution of marital property.
The firm also handles workers compensation cases, social security disability applications, and auto accident cases, as well as provides criminal defense to those charged by the commonwealth.
Stephen is an honest, hard-working lawyer that proudly represents several municipalities as well as the Clarion County Housing Authority and the Redbank Valley Municipal Authority. Previously, he has represented dozens of municipalities, including Brookville and Clarion Boroughs and the City of Saint Marys.
Stephen uses his business and accounting background in combination with his extensive legal experience to serve his clients efficiently in equitable distribution cases as a reliable lawyer. His ability to read and understand tax returns and complex business documents assists his clients in getting appropriate results at a reasonable cost.
